ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A 50-year-old woman died from her injuries after a motorcycle crash Sunday morning in Ross County.
The woman, Lynette Hess, of South Salem, was a passenger on a 2010 Harley-Davidson Softail driven by a 43-year-old man when the motorcycle went off the right side of the road, struck a fence, a tree and overturned, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle was eastbound on Lower Twin Road.
The man was taken to Grant Medical Center win non-life-threatening injuries. Hess was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced deceased.
Helmets were not worn by both occupants of the motorcycle.
The crash remains under investigation.
