By a unanimous vote, Whitehall Township’s Board of Commissioners approved the subdivision and land development plan of Keystone Harley-Davidson during Monday night’s meeting.
The 32,000 square-foot building will located at Eberhardt Road and Seventh Street, according to the resolution. The property will be next to the planned Lidl grocery store.
In other business, commissioners approved the purchased of a five-year unlimited Taser cartridge plan with Taser International. The township will pay the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company $ 27,000. In addition, commissioners approved the reappointment of Dennis Wehr to serve on the plumber’s examining board. His term is scheduled to expire April 30, 2020.
In other news, during his report, Mayor Edward Hozza said that the MCK Development Co. quarry project on North Coplay Road has been cited for “dust violations” by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Neighbors had complained about dust and odors in the area several times before commissioners over the last several months.
Vice President Dennis Hower and Commissioner Linda Snyder were absent from Monday night’s meeting.
