AS PART of the Miss Rodeo Australia competition taking place in Warwick this weekend, the queens vying for the title were treated to a tour of a different kind around our region.
The competitors Ashleigh Grant (Warwick), Kate Taylor (Cloncurry), Nikea Coulson (Kooralbyn), Nicole Evans (Millmerran), Dakota Michaelis (Petersborough) and Tammie Conroy (Taroom) all took off on Harley Davidson motorbikes this afternoon.
Having completed their horsemanship judging, interviews and exam already today, it was a nice little wind down for the women.
They were heading off to see Queen Mary Falls and Leslie Dam if time permitted.
Dakota Michaelis was no stranger to the bike, as she used to ride them herself.
“I’m very excited to see around the region,” she said.
Her pop also used to own a Harley Davidson motorbike.
“It gives you goosebumps,” Dakota said.
The women are due back at the Australian Rodeo Heritage Centre later this afternoon before the big announcement event kicks off at the centre at 6pm tonight.
