The video was posted to Instagram and received over 1000 views before it was deleted.

The clip appears to have been filmed at sunrise and captures a man on a Harley Davidson in just a t-shirt, jeans and a black helmet performing the high speed wheelie.

The motorcyclist’s actions have been condemned by Police, Auckland Transport, and the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) – who oversee the bridge.

“The behaviour of this motorcyclist is extremely dangerous and could potentially have fatal consequences,” said Sergeant Richard Byrne of Waitemata police told the NZ Herald.

“It shows a complete lack of regard for their own safety and the safety of others.”

Auckland Transport was also not impressed with the stunt.

“It poses a huge safety risk for the motorcyclist and all other road users. It is reckless and dangerous and we’ll support the police in any way to identify the person or persons involved,” AT operations manager Rua Paul said.

The NZTA say they have their own footage of the incident and of those involved, and will be passing it on to police.

Byrne encourages anyone with information regarding this incident should call police on 09 477 5000.
