A POW and MIA Missing Man Chair signifies the more than 83,000 prisoners of war, and those missing in action, as well as the impact on millions of their surviving relatives, according to Sophie Toporoff, a publicist for actor Robert Patrick. The chair will remain perpetually unoccupied in honor of those heroes who remain missing.
“This chair dedication will serve as a constant reminder of those who did not return,” said Robert Patrick, a member of the Boozefighters Motor Cycle Club. “Our freedom we enjoy was not free.”
A formal ceremony will take place August 26 at 2 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Canyon Country, followed by a party at the Chapter 101 Boozefighters Motorcycle Club and viewing of the the Mayweather v. McGregor fight.
Actor Robert Patrick (“Die Hard 2,” “Terminator 2”) is a member of the Boozefighters Chapter 101, who is in charge of the chairs and the plaques presented at the event.
Also attending the ceremony August 26 is keynote speaker “New York Myke” from San Diego Harley Davidson, Vietnam veteran; Patrick “Rolling Thunder Patch” J. Hughes; and Oliver Shoku, owner of the Glendale Harley Davidson.
