ASHLAND COUNTY – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving two motorcycles on Saturday, April 28, at approximately 3:25 p.m.
The crash occurred in Ashland County on Ohio 60 near Vermillion Township Road 585, approximately two miles south of Hayesville.
Lise Minadeo, 53, of Brecksville, was northbound on Ohio 60.
She was operating a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
James Rodes, 64, of Brooklyn, was also northbound on Ohio 60.
Rodes was operating a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Minadeo drove off the right side of the road, struck a traffic sign and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Rodes lost control in the roadway and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Minadeo was transported to University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland, before being transported via Med-Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus.
Her condition was reported as critical.
She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Rodes was transported to University Hospitals Samaritan Medical center with non-life threatening injuries.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Hayesville and Jeromesville Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
The Ohio Department of Transportation assisted with traffic control.
Ohio 60 was shut down and traffic was diverted for approximately 90 minutes.
