Two major fairs are among the family events happening this weekend, Nov. 10-12:

FRIDAY, NOV. 10

Coconut Festival — November 9-12. Sun Splash Festival grounds, 400 Santa Barbra Blvd., Cape Coral. Hours: 5-10 p.m. November 9, 5 p.m.-midnight November 10, noon-midnight November 11, noon-10 p.m. November 12 (Family Day). An annual celebration of Cape Coral’s uniqueness. New this year: a Pirates of the Caribbean Show, where pirates walk a high-wire plank, and the Grizzly Bear Experience. Mystery Walk — 6-8 p.m. Downtown Fort Myers. A mystery scavenger hunt every second Friday of the month. Every month brings you to different places with different clues so it never repeats itself. 

Painting The Irena Sendler Story — 1-4 p.m. The Holocaust Museum & Education Center of Southwest Florida, 4760 Tamiami Trail North, Suite 7, Naples, FL 34103. The original art was created by artist/illustrator Bill Farnsworth for the children’s book by author Susan Goldman Rubin, “Irena Sendler and the Children of The Warsaw Ghetto.” The exhibit will be on display through December 17.

It starts at 11 a.m. in downtown Cape Coral and travels west along Southeast 47th Terrace from Fifteenth Avenue to Eighth Court. Free.
