Southeast Community Celebration Jazz Concert
The Jae Sinnett Zero to 60 Quartet with guest vocalist Lori Williams and Karla Crump will perform during a free jazz concert 5-8 p.m. Saturday. ‘Guns of August’ War Gaming Convention
The “Guns of August” War Gaming Convention is a tabletop war gaming convention held by the Old Dominion Military Society and the Virginia War Museum. The convention features board games, themed games, vendors, raffles and miniatures at the Virginia War Museum (9285 Warwick blvd., Newport News) from noon to 10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Charity Car Show in Yorktown
Enjoy a car show for a good cause from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson, 6450 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown. The National Park Service is celebrating its 101th birthday by giving park-goers free admission Friday. Fees will be waived at all national parks and historic sites.
