Today's events (Sept. 4, 2017)

Laborfest, the annual celebration of the importance of organized labor, is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the picnic grounds east of St. Therese Church, 2020 91st St. Admission is free.

The Bristol Renaissance Faire wraps up its 30th season today, with its usual mix of strolling jesters, jugglers, stilt-walkers and mud eaters. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If you haven’t had your fill of cotton candy, corn dogs and deep-fried treats, you still have one final chance to catch a county fair. Neighboring Walworth County’s fair ends its run today, featuring demolition derby action, at the fairgrounds in Elkhorn. Admission is $ 5-$ 10. Parking is free.

Zion, Ill., is celebrating its 69th annual Jubilee Days Festival — hosted each year on Labor Day Weekend. The Jubilee Days Festival Parade steps off at 1 p.m.

In Milwaukee, Harley-Davidson fans will be out in force today at the annual Milwaukee Rally, with such “wholesome” activities as wet T-shirt contests.
