The movie “The Rocket,” which was filmed in Kenosha County last June, will be screened tonight at the Oriental Theatre in Milwaukee, 2230 N. Farwell Ave.
The movie was written and directed by Central High School graduate Richard Blake and stars Brady Tutton, a 15-year-old from Shorewood who was one of the winners of ABC’s reality show “Boy Band” last week.
Note: This is a one-night-only screening; the movie will officially open in 2018. The city’s Peanut Butter and Jam Concert Series wraps up its 2017 season today with two performances by Tynan, billed as “Chicagoland’s No. 1 horn-driven party band.” (Expect lots of tunes by the band Chicago.).
Shows are twice a day — 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park, 54th Street and Sixth Avenue.
Admission is free. Refreshments are available for purchase during the shows. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
The Milwaukee Rally — a gathering for Harley-Davidson motorcycle fans — is up and running in Milwaukee.
This year’s Rally, which features motorcycle rides, live music and other events, runs through Monday.
