This Harley was stolen after an accident on SR 200

The 2016 Harley-Davidson XG 750 was reported stolen from the grassy median in the 3800 block of Southwest College Road — also known as SR 200 — on Monday.

Ocala police officers have released a photo of a motorcycle that was stolen from the middle of State Road 200 this week after its rider was taken to a local hospital.

The 2016 Harley-Davidson XG 750 was reported stolen from the grassy median in the 3800 block of Southwest College Road — also known as SR 200 — on Monday.

The bike’s rider, Alton Manley, told authorities he was traveling west on the busy road when another motorist suddenly changed lanes in front of him, forcing him to lay the bike down.

The other driver continued driving, and bystanders helped Manley as he pushed his motorcycle onto the median and called his mother. She drove him to West Marion Community Hospital and called relatives to pick up the bike.

When they arrived at the location, the motorcycle was missing.

Anyone with information about the bike or its whereabouts can call the Ocala Police Department at 369-7000. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 368-STOP, or visit www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.
