Ryan Hurst might play a tough guy on The Walking Dead, but in real life he’s one of the nicest people around and he wants to raise lots of money to save animals.
As one of the Whisperers on The Walking Dead, Beta has a soft spot for walkers. In real life, actor Ryan Hurst has a soft spot for animals and he is raffling off his prized motorcycle to raise money for various animal organizations. Here’s what you need to know to enter the raffle and support some really great causes.
One of Hurst’s New Year’s resolutions for 2020 is to help animals. He loves animals so much (his Instagram is unapologetically full of pictures of his dogs) that he wants to raise money to save them. He’s teaming up with Motor City Harley to give away his custom bike, a Harley Davidson Road King, to raise money for the ASPCA, Almost Home Animal Rescue and K9 Youth Alliance.
What’s more is that the winner will be flown to Detroit at the end of the summer and Hurst will personally deliver the bike to the lucky winner.
You can enter the raffle at Hurst’s raffle website, and the winner will be randomly selected at the end of the summer. With each donation, you can buy more entries to increase the chances of winning, and there are lots of opportunities to purchase packages of tickets at a discounted price.
Hurst’s costar Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is also a big animal lover, had lots of praise for what Hurst is doing: “Nice, ya big ole softy. Mr heart o gold. Many a creature gonna get help because of you and your bike. Good luck to everyone. Big love bruv.” Norman Reedus commented on the post with a high five.
Beta will return as the Whisperer War heats up in the second half of The Walking Dead season 10, which premieres on February 23 at 9pm on AMC.
