TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The rain didn’t stop people from having a good time at The Boys and Girls Club of Topeka’s ‘Harley Party’ on Saturday night.
The club moved its ‘Harley Party’ to the exhibition hall at the Kansas Expocentre.
The event was originally planned to be held outdoors in downtown at 7th and Kansas, but had to be moved to the Expocentre because of the weather.
Organizers say they still had plenty of food and drinks, a performance by Knucklehead Jones and, of course, the Harley Davidson motorcycle giveaway.
“We have 10 locations in Topeka now and a lot of people don’t realize we’re spread all over the city and serve every single school district. We serve about 2,000 kids a year, so the money raised here will go directly back to the kids and their programs which center around academic success, healthy lifestyles and good character and citizenship,” Dir. of Development and Marketing Krystal Wiltz said.
The event started at 6 o’clock and wrapped up just before 10 PM.
