Many members of the rally committee were thanked for all their hard work and said they are excited for all of the events in the coming week.
Sturgis Mayor Mark Carstensen says, “What I’m Most looking forward to … I like the weather. I like that it looks cool for the rest of the week, that’s always good. I get to see a lot of people from all over the country that I’ve gotten to know over the years that have come specifically for the Rally. It’s just great to see those folks and I know it happens for thousands of others its just a good atmosphere for sure.”
Last year the official attendance was almost 450-thousand and officals predict that this year will be even larger.
