Stokesdale woman injured in crash of Harley-Davidson in Winston-Salem

A 31-year-old Stokesdale woman was injured when the Harley-Davidson she was riding crashed in Winston-Salem early Wednesday.

Officers found Jessica Landreth Smith lying in the 4300 block of Old Greensboro Road, alongside the west curb, at 2:48 a.m., according to a news release from Winston-Salem police. 

Her 2016 Harley-Davidson was further northwest  in a wooded area. Smith was transported to a local hospital for treatment; her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

The investigation of the single-vehicle crash, which resulted in the closure of Old Greensboro Road for about 3 hours, is ongoing.
