Sheriff's Office investigates theft of Harley from outside Fenton-area apartments

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle recently was stolen from outside an apartment building in the 300 block of Mount Everest Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton. The theft was reported July 12, after the victim returned from the hospital and found the bike missing, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

As of Monday (Aug. 14), the bike, a black 2012 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide Custom, had not been recovered, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. It was valued at $ 12,500, the report said.

A neighbor told deputies that he was woken around 1:30 a.m. July 12 by the sound of an SUV backing a trailer outside the apartment building, and he thought it was odd but didn’t see the bike being stolen, according to the report.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
