A search continues for a missing 20-year-old woman missing since Friday west of Naches.
Kaylean Johnson was riding on a 1974 Harley Davidson motorcycle with Patrick Frawley,61, Yakima, when it crashed over an embankment on Friday north of State Route 410, according to a news release issued by the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
Frawley walked from the woods near the Woodshed Restaurant on State Route 410 on Monday afternoon and was taken to a Yakima hospital suffering from dehydration, disorientation and non-life threatening injuries, the release said.
Deputies said the two had built a fire and spent the first night in the woods.
Because of Frawley’s health and slow pace, Johnson went to find help the following day and hasn’t been seen since, the sheriff’s office said.
Search and rescue crews from Kittitas, King and Yakima counties worked through Monday night and into this morning with ground search teams, K-9 units, all-terrain vehicles and a helicopter from King County Sheriff’s Office.
“We will continue to expand the search and bring in outside agencies as we are very concerned with the length of time Ms. Johnson has been missing,” the release said.
Johnson is described as 4-feet, 11-inches and 190 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top, shorts and a Harley Davidson jacket.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information to contact them at 509-925-8534.
