SA’s breaking news blog, The Pulse: Motorcyclist caught with no helmet stopped by police, leads to positive drug test for methamphetamine


A motorcyclist – who was pulled over for not wearing a helmet – has been fined and had his vehicle defected after testing positive to illicit drugs. Follow all the latest news, weather and traffic in The Pulse.

The man was seen riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle along Marion Rd about 4pm on Thursday without a helmet on.

Police were alerted and quickly located the man.

Police say the rider, a 42-year-old from Mitchell Park, was drug tested and returned a positive result to methamphetamine.

He was issued an on the spot fine for riding without a helmet and his motorbike was defected.

He may face drug charges pending analysis of the drug sample.
