Over 200 bikers participate in Red, White, and Chrome ride

The annual Red, White, and Chrome ride took off today from the Harley Davidson Shop in Erie.

This is the third year for the ride.  The bikers who participate ride from Harley Davidson to the Peninsula before heading to the Hub at Perry Square.

One of those riders is John Fetterman who is on the democratic ticket for Lieutenant Governor alongside Tom Wolf.

Organizers of the ride say it's just a great way to show off some of Erie's best assets.  GM of Haley Davidson, Erie, Laurie Thompson, says, "It's really just a fun ride.  It's fun to show off our peninsula to everybody.  And so many from out of town have never been down.  And it's unusual for us to hear this, but there are so many people in Erie that don't go down to the peninsula too, so we love showing it off every year."

More than 200 bikers take part in the event every year.
