Orange man, 64, dies in motorcycle collision with tour bus

A 64-year-old Orange man died Saturday night on a Tustin freeway when his motorcycle collided with the rear of a tour bus, causing him massive head trauma, the California Highway Patrol reported on Sunday, Oct. 1.

Loren Love was driving a Harley Davidson at a high rate of speed northbound on the 55 freeway near Main Street shortly before 11 p.m. when he hit the rear of a Freightliner tour bus, propelling his body into the back of the large vehicle, according to a CHP report. Officers didn’t know why Love’s motorcycle collided with the bus.

Medical personnel declared Love dead at the scene.
