City council to meet tonight
PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Common Council will take action on several items at tonight’s meeting.
Among them will be he appointments of Scott Demane, Kellie Porter and Steve Sullivan to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
The meeting begins with a work session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m.
There will also be a Finance and Budget Committee meeting to begin at 4:30 p.m.
All of the meetings are open to the public.
Rotary Club raffling motorcycle to raise money for community projects
PLATTSBURGH — The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh is holding a raffle for a 2017 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe.
Each raffle ticket is $ 20, and a maximum of 2,000 tickets will be sold. Partial proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the purchase of a new Fire Education Trailer for the Clinton County Firefighters Association.
All the proceeds will benefit community initiatives that the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh supports. Each year, the club gives more than $ 60,000 in community gifts back to high needs projects in the local area.
The bike features a 103-cubic-inch V twin engine with two valves per cylinder, a six-speed transmission and a belt final drive. Retail price on these bikes start at $ 18,549.
This raffle was made possible by Lake City Choppers/North End Harley-Davidson.
The drawing will be held on Wednesday, May 30, at the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh or before if all 2,000 tickets have been sold.
Tickets are available at area businesses including the Tom Miller Road and New York Road branches of Dannemora Federal Credit Union. The motorcycle will also be on display over the next few weeks, including inside Champlain Centre Mall.

Northern Adirondack School Board to meet Monday
ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, in the District Office Conference Room for a public budget work session.
An executive session to discuss collective negotiations will take place at approximately 6:15 p.m. The board will reconvene for public-session business at about 6:30 p.m. Agenda items will include policy review and personnel appointments.
