NTC students win design competition during Harley-Davidson of Wausau's Ride for MDA

Seven Northcentral Technical College students worked together and won a design competition that was part of Harley-Davidson of Wausau’s Ride for MDA.

The competition was open to any local metal fabrication shop, organization or school, and the winner was decided by a popular vote that helped raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Mechanical design engineering technology students Jake Denny of Phillips, JoAnne Krahn of Wausau and Justin Mondeik of Gleason collaborated with machine tool operation students James Domka, of the town of Guenther, James Flees, of Wausau, Joshua Schmidt, of Gleason, and David Tryba, of Hatley, on a light fixture that incorporated elements representing their academic programs along with a Harvey-Davidson logo that was etched into the design.
