BILLINGS – Teams put together their best game plans for the Munchie Bowl IX.
Twelve teams competed in the annual competition at Beartooth Harley Davidson on Saturday. Hundreds of fans came out to taste the favorite recipes.
A panel of three judges had the honor of tasting all the munchies.
It’s fun for fans and a fund raiser for Trinity Lutheran School. The party has become a tradition for many, the week before the Super Bowl.
“Bringing people together in the middle of January when it’s a little cold outside,” said Karla MacCatherine, Beartooth Harley accountant. “People can’t get out on their bikes as much. the roads are icy, so it’s just something to get everybody together. Good food, football,Harleys. They kind of step up their game a little bit every year, especially with the clubs, there’s some pretty stiff competition. They like to do one up on each other, a little friendly competition.”
The Judge’s Choice is Jerry Frank and Tara Anderson for pork tidbits.
The People’s Choice is The Leatherneck Motorcycle Club for Rolls of Montezuma, which is an egg roll.
The Bikers Against Child Abuse made pepperoni rolls and won for Best Booth.
