Motorcyclist rushed to hospital after colliding with car in Stoughton

STOUGHTON – A motorcycle driver was transported to an area hospital after a crash with a car near Town Spa Pizza.

The motoryclist was aboard a Harley Davidson bike when he collided with a black Volvo at the corner of Washington and Plain streets at 3:02 p.m, Monday, according to Stoughton Police Lt. John Bonney.

The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life threating injures while the driver of the Volvo was uninjured.

The area around the accident scene on Route 138 was closed for about 35 minutes as police investigated the accident and the two vehicles were removed, Bonney said.

This accident came less than two hours after a dirt bike and a car collided just south on Route 138 in Raynham, resulting in the dirt bike driver being rushed to the hospital.
