A motorcyclist has been left in critical condition after a collision in Oshawa.

The incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. Friday in the area of Olive Avenue and Guelph Street, near Farewell Street.

Durham police say a Harley Davidson collided with a Chevrolet Equinox in the intersection.

Paramedics brought the rider to a Toronto trauma centre in life-threatening condition, but has since stabilized.

The driver of the Chevrolet was not physically hurt.

Roads were closed in the area for several hours for a police investigation.
