The woman has not yet been identified publicly, but the Minnesota State Patrol said her name will be released at 4 p.m. today.
The woman was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson and traveling north on Minnesota Highway 61 in Silver Creek Township at about 1:45 p.m., when the driver of a southbound Chevy pulled in front of the motorcycle while turning into a driveway near Loop Road, said the State Patrol in a news release.
The 56-year-old Castalia, Iowa, man, Daniel Arlin Schutte, was traveling with a minor passenger in a 2007 Chevy Silverado. Neither the driver or passenger in the pickup was injured.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to St. Luke’s hospital in Duluth.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, said the State Patrol.
