Motorcyclist Injured in Crash North of Filley

BEATRICE – A Union, Nebraska man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Gage County, Friday afternoon.

Sheriffs’ officers report 62-year-old Robin Hogrefe was riding a Harley Davidson south on 134th Road near the intersection with Elm Road, when his bike went off the road to the west.

Hogrefe told rescue officials he was not familiar with the road and after coming out of a curve, he ran off the roadway.

He was taken by Beatrice Fire and Rescue crew members to Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln, for non-life-threatening injuries.  Filley Fire and Rescue and a state trooper also responded to the scene, four miles north of Filley.

Hogrefe was wearing a helmet, in the 3:00 p.m. accident.
