Motorcyclist dies in Milford Road crash

Raymond H. Hanselman, 51, of Dingmans Ferry died in a motorcycle accident that occurred Sunday, Sept. 1, on Milford Road.

The crash happened at 7:30 p.m. north of Route 739 in Delaware Township, according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Blooming Grove.

According to the police report, Hanselman was driving a 2019 Harley-Davidson “in a careless manner.” He crossed the double yellow line into the opposite lane of travel while passing another vehicle, then lost control of the bike when back in his original lane. The bike was in a one o’clock position when it struck a guardrail, launching Hanselman from the bike. The motorcycle skidded 20 to 50 feet before finally stopping.

The Delaware Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene. The bike was towed by S&T Towing.
