A MOTORCYCLIST has died in a fatal crash involving a ute and a tree in Kalamunda yesterday.

Police said a red Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling west along Mundaring Weir Road collided with a Toyota Hilux utility traveling east at about 11.40am.

The motorcycle struck a tree following the collision and the rider, a man believed to be in his 50s, received critical injuries and died at the scene.

The 49-year-old man driving the Toyota Hilux was not injured.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to witnesses and ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash or has dashcam vision to come forward.
