ZANESVILLE – The Ohio State Patrol is investigating a Sunday afternoon motorcycle accident on Maysville Pike that sent two people to the hospital.

Sgt. Jeffrey Jirles said 48-year-old Jason Parker and 45-year-old Aimee Parker were travelling eastbound on Maysville Pike around 6:40 p.m. when a second vehicle turned left and struck their Harley-Davidson. The second vehicle was driven by 65-year-old Rebecca Johnson of Zanesville.

Jason Parker was flown to Grant Hospital and Amiee Parker was transported to Genesis Hospital. Both reportedly had serious injuries, while Johnson was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.

Jirles reminds motorists to be aware of the increased number of motorcycles on the roadways with the warmer weather.
