Mobile Bay Harley-Davidson sold to Revolution Motorsports owner

MOBILE, AL – Mobile Bay Harley-Davidson Inc. has been sold to Bob Rubin of Louisiana-based Revolution Motorsports LLC. Powersports Listings Mergers & Acquisitions (PLMA) announced the closing of the sale and ownership transfer from previous owners Tim McLeod and Tom Schmitt.

Mobile Bay H-D’s website is already announcing the ownership transfer to its customers.

Mobile Bay Harley-Davidson was established in September 1998, when McLeod and Schmitt purchased Patton Harley-Davidson. MBHD originally consisted of a 6,000 sq. ft. building and employed a general manager, two service techs, one service writer/parts person, and one MotorClothes Merchandise salesperson. The business expanded in January 2000 when MBHD relocated to a new 24,000 sq. ft. facility, added two bike salespeople, six MotorClothes and P&A salespeople, and eight members to the service department.

In January 2004, MBHD completed a 10,000 sq. ft expansion that would accommodate larger P&A and MotorClothes departments and a new Harley Owners Group meeting room. “This revved-up, larger format operation set the stage to court a solid buyer upon the decision to exit,” said PLMA in its announcement.

Terms of the transaction include all applicable operating assets, and associated facility and attached real property.

PLMA hosts a real-time map of available Harley-Davidson dealerships for confidential inquiry. View it HERE.
