- Lauer, 60, was spotted driving his new set of wheels around town on Friday
- He dressed down for the trip in jeans, a sweatshirt, and a protective helmet
- Also seen with son Jack driving a Land Rover with a ‘For Sale’ sign in the window
- Lauer was fired last November after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced
Now that his career has come to a resounding halt, it appears the only way Matt Lauer can keep moving is with a new set of wheels.
The disgraced former Today Show anchor was spotted driving a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the Hamptons on Friday.
Lauer stopped short of getting a matching leather jacket.
Instead the 60-year-old dressed down for his trip around town, sporting jeans and a blue sweatshirt along with a silver helmet.

Lauer was later spotted with his son Jack driving a 1987 Land Rover, which had a ‘For Sale’ sign posted on one of the windows.
The Hamptons have become a hideout of sorts for Lauer ever since he was fired from the Today Show following accusations of sexual misconduct.
Lauer was booted in November after an unidentified NBC employee accused him of sexually harassing her during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
An NBC News workplace investigation released in May revealed that three additional women alleged Lauer had engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace with them in 2000, 2001, and 2007.
‘When we first told you about the decision to dismiss Matt Lauer, I said we had been presented with “reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident”‘, Andy Lack, Chairman of NBC Universal, said in a memo with the report.
‘As you will see in the report, that turned out to be the case.’

One of the women who engaged in sexual activity with Lauer, Addie Collins Zinone, spoke about her month-long affair in interviews last year.
That incident occurred in 2000 when she was just a 24-year-old production assistant at Today.
While Zinone said the relationship was consensual, she added that the power dynamics had made her later regret the relationship.
A married NBC staffer also claimed she woke up in Matt Lauer’s office in 2001 with her pants halfway down her legs after having sex with him until she passed out.
The woman told The New York Times that the longtime Today Show host’s assistant had to take her to see a nurse after the alleged encounter.
A source told People that Lauer remains ‘truly devastated’ over the end of his career.
Lauer only released a statement to apologize in April, five months after he was fired.
The disgraced anchor claimed that, the day after he lost his job, he apologized to ‘the people I had hurt’ and began the ‘process of repairing the damage I had caused my family’.
‘I have made no public comments on the many false stories from anonymous or biased sources that have been reported about me over these past several months – including a claim that I would, or even could, lock someone in my office,’ he added.
‘I remained silent in an attempt to protect my family from further embarrassment and to restore a small degree of the privacy they have lost.’
A source recently revealed to that Lauer remains ‘truly devastated’ over the end of his career
Lauer said he only decided to speak up to ‘defend’ his family, including estranged wife Annette Roque and their three children.
‘I fully acknowledge that I acted inappropriately as a husband, father and principal at NBC,’ he said.
‘However I want to make it perfectly clear that any allegations or reports of coercive, aggressive or abusive actions on my part, at any time, are absolutely false.’
A source recently revealed to the magazine that Lauer and his wife are now ‘barely speaking’ since the allegations surfaced.
But Lauer hasn’t lost everyone in his life, it seems.
Just last week he was seen dining in an upscale New York City restaurant with a high-powered producer from NBC’s Today show.
Lauer was spotted at East Pole, an Upper East Side restaurant, with Deborah Kasofsky on Thursday.

‘They were in the middle of the room,’ a source told Page Six. ‘They were talking about vacation spots.’
Lauer reportedly told Kasofsky that he was thinking of moving out of the Hamptons and ‘to the mountains.’
Another source said that the two only talked about ‘his kids’ and did not discuss him possibly moving.
‘They’ve been good friends for 30 years,’ one source said.
Lauer put his spacious Sag Harbor home on the market for $12.75million and, this past April, sold his Manhattan apartment for $7million.
He and Roque own other properties in eastern Long Island, including a 40-acre horse farm in Water Mill.
