Memorial ride for Maple Ridge man killed in Las Vegas

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A memorial motorcycle ride is honouring a 23-year-old Maple Ridge man who died in last Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Friends of Jordan McIldoon say he loved driving diesel trucks and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He’s being remembered as a happy-go-lucky person who put others first.

According to a Facebook page for the memorial ride — which got underway in Langley this morning — participants are riding throughout the Lower Mainland, past Mission and around Harrison Lake.

A statement on the event page reads:

“As most of you guys know about the tragic attack in Las Vegas, we lost a very good guy and a great family friend to me & many. He loved his diesels and his Harley’s and I thought it would be a good idea to do a memorial cruise this Saturday to Harrison and back. He would love every minute of it. Let’s see some support guys!! #RIP JM ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
