A 62-year-old Topeka man reported the theft of a pair of pocket watches with a combined value of $5,400.
The theft occurred sometime between 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, and 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, from a residence in the 100 block of S.W. Terra, according to police reports.
A gold Howard pocket watch valued at $800 was stolen, along with a white gold Elgin pocket watch worth $4,600.

A tan 1997 Toyota Camry was reported stolen between 6:30 and 6:37 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, from the 2400 block of S.E. Colonial Drive. The car’s value was listed at $1,500.
A customer stiffed the Denny’s restaurant at 3210 S.W. Topeka Blvd. to the tune of $15 after walking out without paying for a “Jalapeno Bacon Slam” breakfast. The theft occurred between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.
A 56-year-old man reported the theft of a motorcycle, riding mower and tools valued at $19,200. The thefts occurred between Aug. 15 and Sept. 1 from the 400 block of N.E. Kellam in the city’s Oakland neighborhood. Stolen items included a blue 1994 Harley-Davidson Sportster valued at $5,000; a Craftsman riding lawn mower valued at $5,000; a steel double-wide, dual-tire trailer valued at $3,000; and power tools valued at $6,000. The thefts were reported at 12:29 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9.
A white, 2011 Chevrolet Traverse was reported stolen between 3 and 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, from the 500 block of N.E. Chester. The vehicle was valued at $8,000.
Dollar General, 3401 S.W. Topeka Blvd., reported the theft of two sheet sets valued at $52 between 12:01 a.m. and 1:52 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9.
Walmart, 1301 S.W. 37th, reported the theft of bedding valued at $89 between 12:01 a.m. and 8:18 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9. The item later was recovered.
Tuesday Morning, 1930 S.W. Wanamaker, reported the theft of Peacock Alley six-piece she sets valued at $200 and a queen-sized comforter listed at $130 between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9.
A 41-year-old Topeka woman reported the burglary of a vehicle and theft of items between 6 and 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in the 500 block of N.E. Chester. Among the stolen items were a brown backpack-style purse valued at $20; a brown and white wallet worth $10; and various credit cards.
A 43-year-old Topeka man reported the theft of electronics items from the 3500 block of S.W. Clare. Items stolen included at 32-inch Hisense television listed at $100; an Xbox One listed at $150; an Xbox controller valued at $95; and an Xbox game valued at $60. The total loss was listed at $1,006.
A 59-year-old man reported his automobile windows were vandalized between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, and 10:11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in the 1500 block of S.W. Western. The damage was listed at $200 to the automobile window and $2 to an automobile window curtain.
A GMC Envoy was reported stolen between 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, and 1:04 .am. Saturday, Feb. 10, from the 100 block of S.E. Market. The vehicle was valued at $4,000. Also reported stolen were a gold cross necklace valued at $800 and a black .38 revolver valued at $500.
Solution Star, from Coppell, Texas, reported the theft of items between 2:31 and 2:33 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, from the 1900 block of S.W. 13th. Stolen items included electrical supplies valued at $8,000; furnaces valued at $3,000; air-conditioners valued at $3,000; and a toilet listed at $120. The total loss was listed at $14,770.
A 20-year-old Topeka woman reported damage to the front passenger window of a 1999 Mercedes-Benz and theft of a purse and its contents valued at $150; a book bag valued at $30 and school books valued at $50. Damage to the vehicle window was $200. The total loss was $430. The incident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.
A Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck valued at $2,500 was reported stolen between 12:01 and 2 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, from the 2200 block of S.W. Winterwood Lane.
A 41-year-old Manhattan woman reported burglary to a a vehicle and theft of items between 3:45 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, from the 3900 block of S.W. Burlingame Road. Stolen items included a brown leather purse valued at $40; a black-with-gold lettering Michael Kors wallet valued at $200; and various credit cards. The total loss was $1,109.
A gold 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass car was reported stolen between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, from the 5200 block of S.W. 12th Terrace. The vehicle was listed at $1,500.
