Man killed, woman injured in motorcycle crash


TOWN OF ALBION, Wis. (WMTV) — A man driving his motorcycle was killed and a woman was injured in a crash in Dane County Saturday morning.

A 71-year-old woman from Janesville was operating a Chrysler mini van northbound on U.S. Highway 73 when she turned left to exit onto I-90 in the Town of Albion at approximately 11:23 a.m.

The woman turned into the path of a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a 24-year-old man, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

The 24-year-old motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van was transported by EMS with minor injuries.

The name of the man will be released by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office pending family notification. The crash investigation is ongoing.
