Man dies after 3-wheeled motorcycle loses wheel

WOOD COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) — A man is dead after the left rear tire of the 3-wheeled motorcycle he was riding detached, causing a crash.

This happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 at Mile Marker 170, near Cygnet, at about 8:51 PM Saturday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports Kevin Suber, 60, of Detroit, was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson Tri Glide Ultra.

Troopers say a tire suddenly detached, sending the vehicle into the median, where it struck the concrete barrier wall and overturned.

Suber was taken to Wood County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No other vehicles were involved.
