Parke County, IN – A man is behind bars in connection to a burglary that happened last month in Parke County.
Law enforcement arrested 37-year-old Matthew Ringwald on Monday night.
His arrest stems from a June 23rd burglary at a residence in rural Bloomingdale.
Authorities believe Ringwald stole several items from the residence, including a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Dodge truck and a Case International tractor.
Parke County Deputies executed a search warrant at Ringwald's home, but he was not at the residence.
Clinton Police Officers and Vermillion County Sheriff's Deputies later located Ringwald and tried to arrest him on the Parke County warrant, but authorities say he fled on foot. He was later apprehended.
Ringwald was booked into the Vermillion County Jail on a charge of Resisting Law Enforcement. He will be transported to Parke County for a charge of Theft.
Authorities expect additional charges of Burglary to be filed.
