APPLETON, Minn. — One person was killed and another injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday, Aug. 10, south of Appleton in Lac qui Parle County in west-central Minnesota.
The accident happened around 4:43 p.m. on state Highway 119 and 340th Street.
Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash and alcohol may have been a factor.
According to State Patrol, Linda Joyce Brandstrom, 72, of Madison, was killed in the crash.
She was a passenger on a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Steven Harvey Dunkley, 66, of Madison.
The State Patrol report said the motorcycle was going south on Highway 119 near 340th street when Dunkley lost control of the bike and crashed on the road.
