India Kawasaki has launched the mid-size cruiser Vulcan S in pearl lava orange colour for the Indian market at a price of Rs 5.48 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Vulcan S was first launched in December 2017 at the same price, but only in black colour. The introduction of a new colour is mainly because of the positive response received from customers for the existing model.

The cruiser is positioned to compete with the Harley-Davidson Street Rod 750 and Street 750, UM Renegade Commando, and Royal Enfield Thunderbird, all of which have been priced under Rs 6 lakh.

The new Kawasaki bike come powered by a four-stroke parallel twin cylinder, 650 cc engine, which generates a peak power of 61 ps, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, said “Vulcan S is that type of motorbike which defines a particular lifestyle. In such type of products, colour of the motorcycle plays a vital role. The Vulcan S in pearl lava orange colour is available only in a few countries.”
