John W. Sollers, 90, Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon.
Born July 3, 1932, in Alexandria, he was the son of the late Carl F. and Bessie (Locke) Sollers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ardeth M. (Hill) Sollers; daughter, Rose Marie Mosley of Millvale New Jersey, stepdaughter, Donna Schueck and husband, Joe; stepson, Donald Blair and, wife Cheryl; six grandchildren, Jonathan Parks, Lucas Blair, Zachary Blair, Thaddeus Blair, Alex Mosley and Scott Mosley; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sollers was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Ann Moyer; five brothers, Oscar, Pete, Fred, Guy, Bobby; and sister, Maude Banks.
John retired as a truck driver with Mark’s Brothers of Huntingdon.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife on their motorcycle and was a member of the Harley Davidson Full Dresser Association. John and his wife hosted three Harley Davidson rallies in Huntingdon.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, until the noon funeral service at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, with the Rev. Patricia Shope officiating. Interment will follow in the Newton Hamilton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
