A Harley Davidson dealership in Sioux Falls was honored by the national office for elevating the brand and meeting the motorcycle company’s standards for sales and operations.
J&L Harley Davidson will receive Harley’s Silver Bar & Shield Circle award for its performance last year, according to a Monday announcement from the store.
“We’re proud to present this high honor to Joe and Jimmy Entenman in recognition of the outstanding work being done at J&L,” Harley Davidson Vice President Dave Cotteleer said in an emailed statement. “Dealers like Joe and Jimmy Entenman are a big reason why Harley-Davidson is one of the most respected and recognized brands in the world and why we enjoy having the loyalty and commitment of our riders.”
Harley executives measure each of the company’s 550-plus locations across a number of different categories, including sales, local market share, customer service and operations. The award puts J&L into the company’s top 80 stores, co-owner Jimmy Entenman said.
“It’s something that we strive for,” he said. “We don’t really change our business practices around these measures, but they are best practices.”
