Harley motorcycle stolen in Norridge garage break-in

Norridge police are investigating a garage break-in in the 4100 block of Ottawa Avenue on April 27 in which a motorcycle valued at $25,000 was taken.

A police officer was dispatched at 10:56 a.m. April 28. A woman said she was contacted the night before by her boyfriend and mother, informing her that a residential alarm was going off at the house.

Arriving home later in the evening, she discovered that the garage side entrance had been forced open and the motorcycle was missing, she told police. The motorcycle, a Harley-Davidson Road Glide, was red with white and black pinstripes, as well as flames and images of a devil on the rear, she said.

Police were able to contact the owner, who was out of state. He told police that the motorcycle was valued at $25,000 and that a custom paint job on it cost him $7,500.
