Harley-Davidson stolen from outside Eureka home

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle recently was stolen from a home in the 7100 block of Twin River Road in the Jefferson County portion of Eureka. The theft happened between noon and 1:30 p.m. April 16, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

A dark blue 1995 Harley-Davidson Wide Glider with five-spoke wheels was stolen. It has the owners’ initials stamped on the cylinder heads. The bike is valued at $ 6,200, the report said.

The victim said the bike was parked in front of his house because it was for sale and it had been secured with a cable. He said he left his house to complete some errands, and when he returned about an hour and a half later, it was gone, according to the report.

As of Wednesday (April 26), the stolen Harley had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
