SOUTHLAKE, TX – Harley-Davidson is the official motorcycle of the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association, SVRA announced.
“I own and ride Harley-Davidsons and I am thrilled to have the SVRA in partnership with such a culturally rich and powerful brand,” said Tony Parella, SVRA president and CEO. “Their culture is a perfect fit with the experience-focused, immersive environment we have built as the premier vintage racing series in America.
“It’s about lifestyle,” Parella continued. “I can tell you many of our members own Harley-Davidsons.”
Harley-Davidson reportedly will lead a “large motorcycle presence” at the Brickyard Invitational, June 16-18 in Indianapolis, with test riding opportunities for its latest models. The SVRA said it is organizing a Celebration of Motorcycles that will include a collector motorcycle show, biker corrals and an homage to the Speedway’s very first motorized competition – the motorcycle race meet of Aug. 14, 1909.
Harley-Davidson also will appear at additional vintage racing festival weekends, the organization stated.
Other brands partnering with SVRA include Jaguar, Land Rover, Capital One Spark Business, NetJets, Zenith Watch, Robert Talbott, Mazda, Hoosier Tire, Tritec, Safecraft and National App.
The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association has more than 2,500 active members. It will sanction 14 events this year, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Sebring, Road America, Watkins Glen, Auto Club Speedway, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Sonoma Raceway, Portland International Raceway and Virginia International Raceway.
