The Harley Davidson dealership near North Nevada Avenue and I-25 in Colorado Springs will host a donation drive Thursday for people wanting to give material goods to victims of the catastrophic flooding in Texas. The drive will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the dealership at 5867 North Nevada Avenue.
Suggested items for donation include clothing, non-perishable food items, toiletries, pet food, diapers, bedding, school supplies, toys, cell phone chargers, and stuffed animals. Cash donations will also be accepted and will be directed to the American Red Cross. “These people lost everything,” said organizer Kathyrine Hepler. “If one individual steps up and says, ‘Okay, today this is what I can do,’ then, by God, let’s do that, and let’s do it Thursday here at Harley Davidson.”
