Harley-Davidson India has announced pricing for their entire BS6 line up for 2020, starting with the Street 750 all the way to the Fat Boy Special. Now in the broader spectrum of Indian motorcycle manufacturers, the arrival of 10 BS6-compliant motorcycles would be just an average day in 2020, but this is much bigger than that. Harley Davidson India does not really have an in-house R&D team which would mean that these compliance upgrades have been carried out by the global team. This not only shows just how important the Indian market is to Harley-Davidson but this could be an early harbinger for Euro 5-compliant bikes coming to the global market.
The list of upgraded machines that include three street cruisers, four Sportsters and four Softails, starting with the Street and Street Rod 750 all the way upto the Fat Boy Special. In addition to Street 750 Anniversary, Street Rod 750, Iron 883, Forty-Eight, Forty-Eight Special, Custom 1200 and the brand new Low Rider S.
For those in military services, the new BS6-compliant Street 750 and Street Rod will be available at Canteen Store Departments (CSD) across India at a special price. The Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Street Rod, will be available for purchase for ex-servicemen as well as their dependents at a discount of almost Rs 70,000 on the Street 750 and almost Rs 90,000 for the Street Rod, priced at R 4.6 lakh and Rs 5.65 lakh respectively.
