Temperatures hovered in the low 40s this weekend. Then the rain came. But it was the 37th annual Southern Oregon Toy Run and toys for kids in need had to be delivered. Time to buck, layer up, and ride through the storm.
Want to know the first piece of gear I reached for? My Harley-Davidson Extended Length 2-in-1 Neck Tube. Cold air on an exposed neck is not your friend, and collars on motorcycle jackets only come up so far so a good neck tube can be your saving grace.
Harley’s Extended Length 2-in-1 Neck Tube is wind-resistant and long enough to pull up over your ears if need be. Wasn’t cold enough for that so I just used it as a neck gaiter tucked tightly into my jacket. Though Harley doesn’t claim it’s water-resistant I didn’t feel any rain seeping in either. The bottom portion is made of Polartec Wind Pro fleece while the upper part is made from spandex. Bring back the ‘80s and big-hair bands! Wait, not that kind of spandex. Forgive my flashback.
It’s lightweight and easily tucked into a jacket pocket so you can have it readily available. If you’re looking for a gift idea for that special rider in your life, just about any year-round rider would love this. Only $ 35 at the Harley-Davidson USA Store. Happy HarleyDays!
