ASHEBORO — Habitat for Humanity of Randolph County has announced plans for its annual Barbecue Festival and cook-off. The fun event will be held at Cox’s Harley-Davidson, 2795 N.C. 134, Asheboro, on Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Entry fee for cookers will be $100 with prize money for first, second and third place. Trophies will be presented for Best of Show and People’s Choice. Vendor entry fee is $25 for the day with no out-of-pocket donation from sales. Interested participants should call Wanda Pegg or Ricky Holder at 336-625-1429. Deadline for entry is Monday, April 2.
Adding more excitement to this year’s event will be a motorcycle ride hosted by Cox’s Harley-Davidson and organized by Jon Phillips, Habitat ReStore employee.
