Habitat for Humanity BBQ Festival April 21 at Cox's


ASHEBORO — Woodforest National Bank presents the Habitat for Humanity BBQ Festival on Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Cox’s Harley-Davidson, 2795 N.C. 134, Asheboro.

There will be barbecue plates and sandwiches, desserts, hot dogs, chips, cotton candy, kettle corn and Pelican’s snow cones.

Registration will start at 9 a.m. for the Benefit Ride. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m. Cost is $25 for a single and $35 for a double. Cost includes barbecue plate and drink.

Raffle tickets for a Harley-Davidson FLHC are $100. Chances are one in 250. Drawing will be held Wednesday, June 6, at the Habitat ReStore.

Kids activities include a trackless train, bounce house/slide, fire truck and Sparky, face painting, corn hole, SPCA, Macon Martial Arts and the Chick-fil-A cow.

Live music will be provided by Cory Luetjen & The Travelling Blues Band from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and Southbound 49 from 3-6 p.m.

Event sponsors include Chief Express, Fresh Cuts Butcher & Seafood of Seagrove, Four Seasons Casual Custom Furniture, H&H Furniture Mfrs. Inc., McDowell Lumber, R & H Motor Lines, Central Carolina Waste and Pinewood Country Club.
