A motorcyclist was killed in a weekend crash in Forsyth County, the sheriff’s office said Monday.

About 9:10 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the accident at the intersection of Peachtree Parkway and Sharon Road, sheriff’s Cpl. Doug Rainwater said.

Investigators learned Gregory Smith, 64, of Duluth, was driving his 2018 Harley Davidson Electra-Glide north on Peachtree Parkway and approaching the intersection with Sharon Road when a southbound 2016 Honda Odyssey turned in front of the Harley, Rainwater said. The vehicles collided.

Smith was taken to North Fulton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Honda and a young passenger were not injured, Rainwater said.

“The cause of the crash remains under investigation,” he said.
